Patki Research Foundation is a Public Charitable Trust, established since 2000.
Dr. Satish Patki & Dr. Mrs. Ujjwala Patki, both consultant Gynecologist & I.V.F. specialists are the founder members of this Post Graduate Institute, recognized by National Board of Examinations (Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India) as well as Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (M.U.H.S, Nashik).
The Institute has large yearly workload of about 25000 + patients with the facilities for Routine Gynecological procedures, like deliveries, caserean section , gynecological surgeries, endoscopies, sonographies & Govt. recognised family planning activities.
The hospital has become a special attraction of the country due to its following extraordinary activities:
- This is the “FIRST” Test Tube Baby centre of Kolhapur & Southern Maharashtra, with birth of more than 1000 babies of such techniques, till 2010. Many of the modern technologies like I.V.F., I.C.S.I., Micro manipulations, freezing of sperm & embryos, blastocyst techniques etc. are successfully done here for the “FIRST” time in Southern Maharashtra.
- The Fundamental Research on “Stem Cells” is carried out since 2006 in this Institute. In the collaborative Research Project with the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. Dr. Satish Patki has isolated stem cells from uterus, fallopian tube & human breast milk for the “FIRST” time in “WORLD LITERATURE”. This Research has been published by reputed peer review International Journals. Stem cells therapy trials have been undertaken with formation of various committees as per guidelines of I.C.M.R., especially for treating Gynecological disorders like Pregnancy Induced Hypertension, Infertility & Neonatal Disorders.
